$600,000 College Link With Island Luck

HIGH SCHOOL and college students will benefit from a $600,000 partnership between the College of the Bahamas and the Island Luck Cares Foundation announced last night.
The Foundation’s initiative aims to help high school and college students further their education at certified institutions in the Bahamas or the United States. Scholarships worth a total of $500,000 will be offered for COB students with a further $100,000 going to high school pupils.

NASSAU, Bahamas – The IL Cares Foundation announces the winners of their OWN Bahamas Entrepreneurship Program as well as the Scholarship Fund Program which will launch today for eligible Bahamian students in both high school and college.
OWN Bahamas launched their 2nd annual entrepreneurship program on January 28th, 2016 offering opportunities to Bahamians who have new and exciting ideas within existing or new industries. Web Shops Donate $250,000 To Hurricane Joaquin Recovery Work

THE Gaming House Association yesterday presented the National Emergency Management Agency with more than $250,000 to aid in recovery efforts in the central and southern islands following the passage of Hurricane Joaquin.
The cheque for $257,552.05 was presented to Prime Minister Perry Christie at his office and immediately handed over to NEMA Director Captain Stephen Russell.
